Karen is a native of Lloyd Harbor, graduating from Cold Spring Harbor High School and then Loyola University –Maryland with a degree in Finance. Both in high school and college(Division I) she received First Team academic and All American honors in women’s lacrosse. After college, she spent six years as a Retirement Planning Supervisor with The Dreyfus Corporation servicing a nationwide clientele.

Karen grew up in a well-known real estate family. Her father, Ed, a reputable land surveyor and builder and her mother, Regina, a mother of seven turned ‘dynamo’ realtor. What seemed like a ‘lifetime’ of learning Karen officially apprenticed for six years under her late mother who was undoubtedly one of Huntington’s/Lloyd Harbor’s most respected and successful realtors for thirty years. “I was fortunate to learn from “the best” in the business.” Karen continues Regina’s legacy through dedication, hard work and honesty with her clients and a creative approach to marketing.

In 2004, Karen became associated with Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty, working in partnership with her mother, Regina Ravn. After Regina’s passing, in March 2010, she joined Signature Premier Properties, Cold Spring Harbor office where she was a consistent top producer for her eleven years there. In April 2021, she took her well established career to join Realty Connect USA’s Huntington office and is excited to continue to build business relationships and friendships and sell property in a special part of Long Island she has always called “home”.

Over the past twenty-five years Karen has been active in the community, mainly through the lives of her three active children. She is an avid sports fan and USTA tennis player. Her enthusiasm to work with others on and off the court is driven by her life experiences in her hometown and her commitment to sharing her wealth of knowledge with others. In May 2018, she and her husband opened Six Harbors Brewing Company, Huntington Village’s first microbrewery, which has been well received and off to an amazing start.
